Cottage Remodel
This Netherlands-inspired cottage remodel turned a detached garage into a vibrant, functional retreat. Drawing from the charm of a gingerbread-style house, the colorful design brings the space to life. One of our coolest screen porches yet, the addition features a dyed, stamped concrete floor made to look like bluestone, vintage cast iron ash dump doors embedded in the wood-burning fireplace, and a reclaimed heart pine mantle. We built in a custom kegerator, added crisscross firewood storage, and used our favorite SCREENEZE “no seeum” system to keep the bugs out—making this space as practical as it is unique.
