John Hennis

John Hennis is a licensed, bonded, and insured Residential Builder with a lifelong passion for quality craftsmanship. Raised around construction sites by his father, the late Pat Hennis—founder of Phoenix Construction—John learned the building trades from the ground up, working alongside seasoned professionals from a young age.

With a degree in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management from Brevard College, John has led custom home builds, historic renovations, and commercial projects across Virginia, Florida, and South Carolina. In 2017, he and his wife, Tori, founded Hennis Handcrafted Homes LLC with a mission to bring thoughtful design, personal service, and enduring quality to the Charleston area.

John lives on Wadmalaw Island with his wife, their two young sons, and their chocolate lab, Bocephus.
